Some times when you can't sleep it can mean that you have something on your mind that may be bugging you. Not always though it could also be you are thinking about someone or something a lot but throughout the day you didn't really notice it, you may even feel a certain way about a situation but you can't realize it until there is less going on in your day. Just focus on events in your life that have happened and how they might have made you feel, maybe you need to let somethings go. It works for me!

I know what you mean. I am the same way. If you don't have to get up too early the benedryl will help knock you out. It's non habit forming and it works great but don't use it if you have to be up early cuz it'll make you drag in the morning. Another thing you can do is buy some lavender essesial iol and put it on a cotton ball next to your bed. It is a natural calming remedy. You can also put a few drops in your bath before going to bed.... hope this helps..

When that starts happening to me (and it happens frequently) I take 2 tylenol pm about an hour before I want to go to sleep and allow myself a full 8 hours to sleep it off. I get my much needed rest, and start all over with the not being able to sleep again the next night. I typically only sleep 4-6 hours a night anyway.

So sorry...are you drinking tea with caffeine?
When I can't sleep, I will get up and do a small project so I least I can feel good about the time I've not slept.

I think about the day, things I need to do tomorrow, just lay in bed in the dark and listen to my husband snore. I don't get up because then I will never get to sleep.

I read in SEVENTEEN Magazine that you should go in a seperate room in your house that youre not sleeping in, turn off all lights and all forms of media, and sit there for 10-15 minutes. It signals to your brain that your ready to be calm and go to sleep. If you go back in you bedroom and still can't sleep go back and try it again.

I get out of bed and watch TV or go on the computer. Sometimes I read or do crossword puzzles.

I never could get out of that cycle.

These day's I just curl up with my husband, and before I know it I'm sleeping, he makes me feel peaceful, and safe.
