I just noticed a strange blotchy, bumpy red rash on the top of my hand... near my wrist... but it does not itch. I have been washing my hands alot lately... could this be a result of that? If not then does anyone know what it could be?

I am a nurse and I wash my hands constantly and my hands will get like that. Sometimes they itch too. Try some neosporin, or some super good moisturizing lotion. If that doesn't do it you may have another irritation, you could try a triple antibiotic ointment on that. You can get it at any drug store. Also there is always hydro-cortisone cream, but it's not moisturizing.

I'm pretty sure it's not the fact that you're washing your hands to much. It might be an allergic reaction to the soap you're using, lotion, a new perfume, or it could be something in the enviornment that you've been in lately.

If it gets any worse you should go to the Dermatolagist or to your local health food store and tell them your problem. They can give you an ointment to help it go away.

Dry hands, too much soap or not the right soap, try a sensitive skin one.

it could be that you are alergic to your soap I would call your doctor and find out. or change soap and see if that is it.
