AC/DC, Anthrax, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult (Sometimes), Deep Purple, Dio, Rainbow, Judas Preist Megadeath, Metallica, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Motorhead and many more!

Oh-Oh! Someone below mentioned "Jethro Tull". I'm surprised that old Metallica fans haven't jumped all over him for that err...error! You might say a Tull Tale! Especially a Tull fan such as myself, even I knew that the old band did not have any place in taking the Heavy Metal category at the Grammies away from Metallica's legendary "Black" Album, But somehow Jethro Tull's "Crest Of A Knave" pulled it off. Even "Ian Anderson" was smart enough to not even show up and accept the award, but I have to admit it was a great record and it was the epitome' of Jethro Tull's long career and it certainly deserved it's recognition. Nonetheless... Jethro Tull only has a few albums that could even possibly be considered "Heavy Metal", Mostly "Minstrel In The Gallery" & of course the legendary "Aqualung". Other that that, Tull has changed their musical style on every album they've did since, and applying their own unique signature to all the genre's of music they persnally liked or basically whatever Ian wanted, such as; Classical, Jazz, lots of Blues, New Age and Eastern styles!....Cheerio!

Dream Theater is the best metal band ever. Why, you ask? First off, everyone is technically proficient at what they do; John Petrucci is the 2nd best guitar player I’ve ever heard, John Myung plass bass insanely fast, Jordan Rudess plays keyboards better than anyone I’ve ever heard, and Mike Portnoy is the best drummer on the planet. James Labrie gives excellent vocals that work well with their music. Their music has crunchy riffs, double bass, and crazy fast solos. Their soon to be released (June 5th!) album “Systematic Chaos,” is basically all hard. Listen to “Dark Eternal Night” on YouTube and you will see it. Dream Theater also stands above the rest because their lyrics are challenging and great; they don’t scream about death or murder. Dream Theater=Best band ever.

Metallica is by far the greatest ever, Ozzy, Pantera, Disturbed, Megadeath, Korn (Nu-Metal), Marylin Manson, there are many more, but these would keep any metal head happy for a long time
