i ordered clothes online with my bank card then canceled the order. how long before the money get put back in?

i ordered clohtes online then canceled the order before they got shipped. the customer service guy said i wasnt going to be charged any fee because they didnt ship them out yet. but the money has not been put back in my bank account. how long does that take? or who should i call about it? my bank or the company i ordered from?
any info in helpful and appreciated.

Normally it can take about 7-10 business days. It always goes quickly but getting it back is a pain!

First how long has it been since the order was canceled? Because it usually takes 4-7 business days for merhants to refund your money. If has been more than that then call the company you placed your order with. If they say to give it a couple more days, then do that. But even if after those days pass by and your money isn't back in your card then call your bank and file a dispute. That way your bank will try to force the merchant to give you your money back. Now to file a dispute can take a couple weeks so you have to be patient.

It usually takes 3-5 days before you see a refund in your account? You should call the company you ordered from to make sure they cancelled your order and ask them how long for your refund. If they have it as cancelled then call your bank and ask them. Hope this helps!

I have seen it take up to about a months, although usually one to two weeks on average, sometimes even shorter.

You should contact the company first, then if no resolution, then contest the charge with your credit card company.

7-10 Days is typical.

It sucks though, doesn't it amaze you how they can TAKE the money from you in a few hours but to give it back takes days?
