Anyone alive today who decides to vote for ANY Bush in his/her lifetime is obviously not a scholar of history.

No and the war has nothing to do with it. The only reason why I don't like Bush is because of his interest in special interest. He supports the big corporations way to much and sold out our middle class. As the President, he ignored our immigration problems hoping they would go unnoticed by the American people and that is because of his push for globalization along with Bill and Hillary, Guliani and anybody running who was in governement and waited until the American people pressured them into making illegal immigration an issue. The only thing I admire him for is his strength to fight the Islamic Extremists in the world with a physical and financial war that would have crippled them. If only other countries and the worthless United Nations had the same guts to jump in and do the right thing we wouldn't be in this position now. The world was heading in this direction with or without Bush. It wouldn't have mattered if Abe Lincoln was reincarnated, nobody would have been able to stop it and every person in goverment knows that.

I didn't vote for him the first or second time - and the people that did well they should be ashamed of themselves for what they have done to this country..they put this lunatic in charge of the military and he thinks he can just do whatever he wants...and he does....so how many more of our soldiers have to die over there in Iraq before he says enough is enough; ohhhh thats right he (Bush) already said that it would be the next president to decide on how and when we get out...he does not care how many die as long as his croonies (Cheney and crew) get the oil....we are all expendable.

If W was the candidate again, I would absolutely vote for him. He has guts for standing up to the Dems, the news media, and popular opinions and continuing to bring the fight to the terrorists.
Oh and if you mean H. W. Bush, I'd vote for him too. I just wouldn't want him to make any promises about taxes.

I’ve voted for him four times already including his time as governor. Bush is a foreign policy conservative, Reagan’s Peace through Strength, but Bush is not a social conservative. He’s not a socialists like Hillary, but he’s not a true conservative. If you look at the top Republicans running for president in 2008; none of them classify as a social conservative. So far it looks like our choice in 2008 will be between a Socialist and a RINO. Fun for all… To answer your question, depends on who was running against him. Pit him against anyone running for president in 2008, than yes, he has my vote. Put him against John Cornyn, Tom Coburn, or a true conservative, Bush would get the boot. The fact is, he was the best of the two evils. I would vote for somebody who believes in what he is doing over someone who flip-flops with public opinion any day. *sorry* I thought you were talking about 43. 41 has my vote, even against 43.

I just can't believe how many idiots we still have in this country. He started his own war over a lie and did it without congresses approval. It's unbelievable!!!Sometimes I think it must just be a bad dream..Look at our new attorney general..What a f****n joke...And Bush still won't get rid of him....Bush should have bin impeached long ago...But our beautifully country would never do such a thing to such an honest Republican..For Impeachment we go after much more import things like getting B.J.s and where we have put our cigars before we have smoked them......

If he were running against any of the Democrats that are
in the race today (except Richardson, he seems ok) then
yes I would vote for him again. Against Richardson or
a good Independent, no I would not.

It's really amazing. I wonder if any of the people above are in a coma? Oh well. No I wouldn't vote for him again; in fact, if I had the power I'd indict him.
----Uh wait: did you mean the elder Bush? Now him I'd vote for. If he had to step in and fix the mess his son has made he would probably do a good job, because he seems to have a conscience.

I might vote for the first Bush again, but the current one has done so much to harm the US that I could never vote for him again. As a veteran, I feel particularly angry at him and the neo-conservatives for what they have done and continue to do.

Well, I can't say that I'd vote for him "again", as I didn't vote for him before. I would never vote for Bush.
