but if poetry is written well, then it can truly touch the senses.

Haha, poetry can either be done horrible, or romantically--it's all in the presentation and the moment of the speech. If you're thinking of doing this, then start by choosing ONE line from a poem, and presenting it so it doesn't sound rehearsed. If done correctly (and especially if it's about beauty and all that cheesy stuff), yes, it can be a major turn on.

Not so much, poetry is more of a sweet thing! You cn write about a girl and how she looks though that's ok but as for me the turning on part, not gonna happen!

I'm not a lady but I used to do spoken word performances and at every show I'd get a few ladies who said they had spontaneous orgasms during my show.
Trust me, if you put out some good poetry you'll have no problem wowing the ladies.

It depends what type of poetry. If its really soppy then no. If its crude then no but if it is beautiful language and heart felt then yeah it would probably.

Well, it depends on the lady and on the poem. Personally, I don't like poems that have sexual turns in them, like 'I wanna do you' or something. But if its heart warming, then I like it.
