It means they've found it interesting - Each time you get a star I think that question should be put on the top of the pile again - so more people will see it. Because even a question that gets 20 stars will only be 'active' really for about 15 minutes - after that no one will see it really.... you what I mean ?

Yes that would be a good idea because then it would weed out the crap and the great Questions what could get better answers and more points for best answers etc...

Not really, I star just about every question I answer, for the hell of it! Once I star it, any of my contacts can see it too..... I think!
