Kate asked people if they read the daily newspaper

This is the table of her results:

NO: 80 people=40%
YES: 126 people=60%

The values in the table cannot all be correct.....

THE error could be in the percentages
Complete the table with the correct percentages.......

NO: 80 people= _____ %
YES: 126 people= _____ %

80/206 = 0.388, i.e. 38.8%
126/206 = 0.612, i.e. 61.2%


therefore,

NO: 80 people= 38.8%
YES: 126 people= 61.2%

the error may be in the transcribing, since :
80 is 40 percent of 280
and
200 is 60 percent of 280
its possible the "206" was typed wrong and meant to be "200"
