What is the BEST and the WORST thing about America today?

Best--we have so many freedoms and opportunities here that other ppl in other countries don't have

worst-- as a ppl, we take those freedoms for granted and are so unaware of how easily they can disappear. Also, medical care in this country could be so much better, especially for the elderly and veterans.

The best thing is that we have freedom of speech anywhere but on p and s. Even the Washington Post and the Reagan Diaries get to use words of their own choosing!

The worst thing is collective denial! Did you hear that Bush rambling his nonsense using his right to speak today about the war? He is going to vacation all summer and the Iraqi puppets are taking a two month hiatus. How is that surge supposed to work? If the American people continue to buy into this BS we are all in for a terrible future of conflict and fear.

The fact that we are privilage... (yes, privilaged) to have rights and freedom... (sounds common and old.. but it's true. not many countries have the "Rights" that we do. we can even talk bad about our own government!)

the laws are originated from justice.. and the like, in my opinion.

The WORST thing, in my opinion.. is the downfalls to these "Freedoms and Rights" .. however, every rule/law has it's downfalls.. so it's not really something the outweighs the good.

ignorance is a common human thing, in Japan.. they dont even like other asians! like philipinos, chinese, etc.. c'mon.. racism, sexism and any other form of discrimination is just some kind of hate that will be around for as long as "stupid" humans will exist.

Believe me, there are WORSE cases.

And mind you, in america... most hate crimes ARE Illegal, if i am not mistaken.. so those are not things that represent America.

I think Bush is doing an okay job, why all the hate against him?

Remember in high school when there was just that ONE person who didn't like you in class? and your self esteem would drop? hey, maybe the whole class (if you were a nerd) and many people even suicide from feeling so hated and neglected..

imagine.. not the whole class... but the whole country ... not just 10 mere kids... but MILLIONS of fully grown and some powerful PEOPLE...

he must be under a lot of pressure... people just dont realize this because they're so spoiled with all their rights they just look for the smallest of things to complain about..

it truly does sicken me!

and that is the worst thing in America..

how "american traitors" are so spoiled.. they expect WAYY too much out of a country that's given and done so much better than most, if not ALL! >_<

Schools containing lots of students with low grades - the works teachers give are not that hard as back then during my father's and elder's time, yet we still have these kinds of students whining that the teacher cannot teach well or other excuses. I swear I wanna get out of high school ASAP! Sorry, I'm being crabby today since I remember this one idiotic classmate of mine. =(

The Best Thing: End of the School Year Tests to further frustrate these lazy students!!! And no, just because have jobs after school gives no good reason why students should whine how "hard" the teachings are.
