Windows will run their program with no problem. All you have to do is right click the executible and select properties then click the compatibility tab and select windows 98/me from the drop down box. Any Computer with Windows on it will run this program. Good Luck HTH.

By the way XP does not run on DOS and completely dropped the DOS based system and left it with Windows ME. But it will still run DOS programs.

Hi. Windows 95 was the last DOS based OS. You can try running 'Command" or 'CMD" from the 'Run' window. Start> Run>.

Edit: Others say that Win 98 and Win ME were DOS based as well. If so, I didn't know this. Love to learn!

DOS is obsolet with any modern operating systems. However Windows comes from that DOS so it still will run DOS programs. You can even use DOS in windows...even if it's just emulated....

Mostly systems using specialized software that wont run under linux. I have seen a few dos based voicemail systems and some small embedded processors that use dos.
There are many DOS compatible OSes. some are available for free.
