It generally means muscle/eye strain. As I am writing this, my eye is twitching, however, I know my eyes are tired and dry.

Here is a list of possible causes:
* Stress
* Irritation of the Cornea or Conjunctiva
* Fatigue
* Lack of sleep
* Prolonged staring at a computer screen or television
* Nervous system disorders

Yes it is...

This is how it is interpreted:
Left eye: Bad news/accidents/health issues, etc.
Right eye: Relationship issues (husband/wife/friends/family)

As with the others, it is also a sign of eyestrain.

Hope this helps :-)

P.s- if the upper eyelids trembles, it usually means the opposites. Both upper and lower eyelids superstitiously signifies 'heaven and hell'...

One time I was in a bad relationship and I got a tick in my lower eyelid. If you're stressed out, that might cause it.

It's usually a sign of eye-strain. I have that happen when I've spent the week at work in front of the monitor.

If you close them for a few minutes, it'll go away.

Generally, it's just a sign of stress or eye strain. So, I guess in that way you could say it was true.
