I love the look of glam rock, especially Bowie & T.Rex, but being a teenage girl in the twenty-first century I have no idea how to make it work for me.
Any ideas?

i take a lot of my fashion inspiration from that whole early 70s glam rock look as well, but i don`t really mind looking out of place...in fact the more outrageous i can look, the better i like it!!! it`s not unusual for me to go out running my daily errands in full head-to-toe glam fashion, from crazy hair down to platform boots!!! & if i happen to be going out clubbing...forget it, my look is way over the top!!!

If you get some money, invest into bootcut jeans, too. Skinny jeans ar emore 80s than 70s. You can combine hippie blouses with such things as velvet jackets and scarfs with flitter or silver threads. Are you british or american? If you are brit, I recommend checking Primark out for glitter jewelry, scarfs and blouses. For the pants, alternative shops are good but maybe you can get your parents to look at ebay with you. You can make some bargains there are get clothes for as little as a dollar/pound.
