In short, never. The world will never end (at least not until the Sun becomes a red giant, which shall be in a few billion years).
We as humans might end our 'footprint' on earth. Perhaps our modern civilization might end, but then again they usually morph or get replaced by newer ones. Kinda like how Romans thought they were the empire for all of humanity. Eventually they ceased to exist and are now only in museums and history books.
Our beloved planet cannot end. Its in a continuous cycle to change itself. Its adapting. Maybe if humans continue to adapt too (in mind, body and spirit) maybe we shall survive.
And if we survive for say a billion years. Then hey, its not so bad at all! We leave a legacy behind for the next intelligent species to follow.

Just for the kick of it, my main guess should be that the world will end in two steps, the first: A natural disaster like a super volcano eruption, should disrupt the global market economy, plunging entire societies in disarray and chaos will follow...
The second step will include a great plague, that will kill most remnants of civilizations... Of course they may still remain humans on Earth but nothing big anymore, so technically speaking our world will be dead...
The first step should happen between 2030 to 2040, while the last one should happen around 2055...
I can't tell why those approximation look hardwired in my mind, but this is my prediction...

Who says it has to end? I think the world will be around forever, human life on the other hand could be wiped out anyday. I seen this program on discovery channel and under yellow stone is the world's larges volcano that is 600+ years past due. From what they show would end human life by all the gases let out, the explosion, the sut in the air that would block the sun for several months. But you know, a plague could come as well and get rid of all of us. Human life is very fragile and we may not be here tomorrow. But I think the year 2023, just a hunch.

Science has a very dim view of the Universe in the sense that they calculated a decay which would result to a dead Universe.
So the time that Cosmologists postulated was on the basis of the decay rate.(Observed as a Universal expension)
From the Biblical point of view in the New Testament acount a plan of salvation is described for mankind. It does not indicate destruction of the Universe or the world;but a change in the Earth and Universe.(a New Heaven and a New Earth)

This little planet we're sitting on is going to be around for quite a few more million years, whether we like it or not.
I suppose you question is more how long we humans will make it, or how long life will exist.
Life in the universe will also be around in various forms for many million more years. There's not only life on this planet so don't worry about that.
Humans will change over time. In a not too distant future we will create beings that are more advanced than ourselves. From the sense of being to able to reproduce itself I suppose we can also define it as life.
Humans will also develop various cyborg shapes for better emersion with different environments out in space. Since our current human bodies are too weak to suit space travel this comes pretty handy. Will of course be rejected by many people for this and that reason but there's really no stopping to the development when it comes to survival of life.
The world as we know it now with human civilizations will slowly develop into new kinds of civilizations. We will meet many interesting obstacles like lack of various raw materials, wars, famines, disasters etc, but you can be confident we will come up with solutions to it all one way or another. Although of course not without loss.
If you want to be a part of the future you make yourself a part of the future. If you don't care you'll fade away along with all others who don't care sooner or later.
The most exciting part of the future is the many possibilities we will have. Depending on your personal interest you may approach it whatever way you like.
Be aware of your position on this earth and if you are interesting in joining the future of life you just do what you need to do to keep up the speed. Learn to be flexible, keep your mind open and stay away from stupidities.
Whatever you do in life there's always risk. But you don't necessarily have to take the most risky ways. Always your choice. Enjoy the ride :)

It will never end. The end of the world means the end of space-time. Can you imagine the end of the time? Or the beginning of it?

Well..... there are more answers to it. Here you go. (Pls have confidence in hundreds of books written by westers scientists/researchers praising the Indian philosophy.)
World as such, in totality, will never end. It keeps going. But however, it will have intermitant wipe offs or times of revamp which is called "Pralaya" in sanskrit language. Its a much deeper and difficult to understand in a matter of few lines. But to answer your question to the point, this world is going to end (or get completely re-vamped) in next 4, 21,000 odd years. Because... total of 4,27,000 years is the life of this leg of world - called 'KALI YUG'. out of which, we have completed 5200 odd years.
So lot of time left.... for this world to slip towards distruction - not because it has to , but because we are travelling towards the distruction, slowely..... and steadily..... you can see hundreds of signs already... but still lots left before we fall... for the same....

There are a couple answers. One is that God will come to the Earth o the day of the epocalypse and save us. A more non-religous answer is that a giant asteroid or comet will impact the Earth. Another is that the moon will go out of The Earths gravitational pull and the Earth will spin of its axis and faster than usual with unkown effects. The last one i hve is that the sun will swell up into a der giant ingulfing the Earth in flames literally burning it into a crisp.
