Never bet on a horse. They are among the dumbest things on the planet.
Now a jockey or trainer is another matter. If you find the right trainer mixed with the right jockey a Clydesdale can win the Kentucky Derby.

I have. It's fun. I found the funnest way to bet on a horse race is to bet exacta or trifecta boxes (picking the top two or three horses but not in order).
