Maybe not to that magnitude...BUT recent reports have said that by 2050-2080 the global warming will melt polar caps and dry out the rainforests...we will see massive flooding that will engulf whole countries---the estimated death toll would be about 250 million or about 4% of our total population now. That death toll would be almost immediate---everyone would follow soon afterwards...Take care of the environment and go green. Worry about leaving the environment safe for the next generations.

An EXCELLENT question, the answer is 'YES" and it's all due to Republicans in Congress. They have been secretly conspiring with Aliens, no, not the ones that should be granted citizenship and allowed unfettered access to America, the ones who look like the X-Files.... I have been told by my scientic advisor, Leonardo DiCaprio, yes, the actor---that due to Republicans and Aliens, Global Warming is destroying the World and will cause GIANT Asteroids to hit the earth---Leo has suggested that to fight this menace, people should go to the movies more often....but; should walk not drive. Now to fight this threat to our Nation, you must elect Farnsworth Democratius to Congress, I will propose a bill to purchase the 25 billion dollar anti-asteroid technology from the MEGAGIANTICUS Corporation, which purely by coincidence is located in my home-town. Only Democrats, Actors and Farnsworth can save the Earth. By the way, Steven Spielberg, my close friend and advisor, tells me he has produced a new movie to be released on July 4th, 'Charmin and the Global Warming Disaster, it's about a giant ball of frozen toilet paper, hitting the Atlantic Ocean and drying out all the ocean water, causing death and destruction to the Earth. AND remember send $$$ to Farnsworth P. Democratius, For Congress at Box 69, Gore, TN 00003

saw the tv commcercial for day after tomorrow-my life could be summarized by destoying a few myth's. First of all wolve's are not like "dance's with wolve's" In the wild they will eat anything includeing human's. I have been in several tidal wave's, and watched several village's overrun by water, equivalent to the ocean reaching upper manhattan-and that same amount of environmental pain the whole world, as it did the arctic. When the arctic ice cap melt's (any year now) the "day after tomorrow" scenario will follow right after, and if you are a younger person, your life is tribulation's

Not likely. I think the movie was over dramatic. It was "Hollywood". However, during our life time we will see some serious changes in the earth and the way we live and adapt. Whether global warming is just a natural phenomenon or if we are the root cause, we will see the effects. Ever since the beginning of time, Earth has gone thru very dramatic changes. Whether animal or earlier human, they did not fare well when mother Earth decided to clean house. Mother Earth is getting ready for another house cleaning and we just might be in the way.
