Absolutely not! I LOVE horses and know quite a lot about them. Horses are my favorite animal! However, I do not approach horses that are acting aggressive, and I would not approach a stallion without knowing his temperament. Horses "talk" by using body language, and it's not hard to learn to read it. For example, always beware of a horse who pins his ears back, especially if he starts switching his tail at the same time and shifting his hindquarters. That means he is really mad and is getting ready to kick! Horses that have been properly socialized to human contact are generally friendly. A sign of a friendly horse is one who moves toward you with his ears pointed forward and perhaps stretching out his neck toward you.

I had a bad experience on a horse once, I'm not scared of them now I just don't trust them.

Not at all, and so many people are. When horses see me they will even run across a field to see me. I love them and they know it.

I was nervous going horseback riding once, because they can run fast and their so tall.
