Beach. I live in the mountains so I like going to the beach in the fall and seeing the leaves change on the drive there. (No I don't sit and watch the leaves change one by one). My favorite vacation though was the trip to Niagara Falls in the fall. WOW! What beauty and color there was to see. Perfect weather, temperatures everything.

I know EVERYONE is going to sat The Beach....uhh the beeaaaach, the buuuueeeach but I really don't see the attraction...as Bill Hicks once said "it's just were the dirt meets the water, no big deal!!"
So i guess I'll say Mountains at least there;s stuff to see there unlike the beach apart from fat people who REALLY shouldn't be in bathing suits upping their chances of melanoma and err....water

It would depend on the time of year and my mood. I have been to the beach many times in my life, but have seldom been to the mountains. At this time, I would have to vote for the mountains as a favorite get-away place.

I love both so I go to the Santa Cruz mountains in California. It is about 30 minutes driving from camping to the beach.

Well, I live at the beach... so it's no a getaway, but it's still the best by far.
