Thoughts on the 'Lost' finale?

What did you think?
Whose funeral did Jack attend?
Who has Kate gotten together with?
Do you think Locke and/or Rose (who had cancer) and/or Ben leave the island?
Finally, any theories on where they're going to go from here?

Good answers so far. But what if it WASN'T a 'flash-forward' and it was actually another flashBACK. Remember, Jack told the head of surgery to "go get my father, and if I'm drunker than he is, you can fire me." Jack's dad would've been long dead if that were a flashFORWARD.

Remember, too, that Ben had warned that Naomi was not who she said she was and was not there to help.

Also remember that when Charlie spoke to Penny on the video screen in the underwater hatch, she didn't know anything about a boat. (Hence his writing "Not Penny's Boat" on his hand.)

I thought it was an awesome episode. I had a big party with some friends and we were all cheering when the Others/Hostiles were blown up and of course when Hurley came with the Dharma van and ran over Pryce...PRYCELESS!! As for the funeral, it's a man. Here is the screenshot of the paper Jack had in his hand (http://bp0.blogger.com/_RrObyQ3XzcY/RlUe-1YihSI/AAAAAAAAFkw/ucINFuG1jfo/s1600-h/newspaperclipping2.jpg). I think Kate went with Sawyer. I don't know who else she would have gone with if it wasn't Jack. I don't think everyone left the island, but i don't think the island had it's powers anymore either. But I'm sure we won't find out for another 3 years!!
I think that we are going to start seeing flashforwards of the lives of our 815ers...of what will happen when they leave the island. But I think Desmonds power of the future "seeing" he will start altering things as we go along and maybe the futures will start changing for the characters.
I'm just glad that LOST is back. It's about time. I was losing faith after the first 6, but they really brought it back!!
Best Season finale I've seen out of all the shows I watched. Heroes was so disappointing. =+)

There is an interview from Kristen at E! where she talks to Damon after the season finale and he confirms that the season finale was indeed a flash-forward. I think Jack was just delusional about everything going on being drunk and on drugs and probably is still having visions of his father like he did when he was on the island.

I believe that Naomi is DHARMA. The Hostiles purged the original DHARMA people but never let anyone know. I think the hostiles are still on the island and "pretending" that DHARMA is still there and doing their experiments. When the failsafe key was turned I think that alerted that there is something going on that island and Naomi was a scout to see if DHARMA is still fully functional on the island. Again, just my thoughts and who knows what is actually going on. But that would mean another showdown would be coming between the DHARMA people and the Hostiles to get their hatches back.

I thought Penny was always DHARMA too, or at least her father, but I think Penny knows about her fathers investment in DHARMA and just wants to get Desmond back. I think long ago she disowned her father for letting the love of her life go on a little boatride to get rid of him since he was not able to provide for her.

Why do we have to wait til February!! =+)

- I liked the finale. it didn't tie up any loose ends but it was still awesome enough that I didn't mind it.

Who's funeral did Jack attend?
- My guess is either Locke or Ben, if either of them left the island.

Who has Kate gotten together with?
- Sawyer perhaps? Wouldn't it be a twist if it was Michael? Either way, I think she and Jack got married after they got off the island. Divorced because of their differences away from the island.

Do you think Locke and/or Rose (who had cancer) and/or Ben leave the island?
- If the option is available, I think that Locke and Ben would stay. Although, Rose is a wildcard.

Finally, any theories on where they're going to go from here?
- I just wanna know who Naomi was working for. And what's gonna happen when Desmond rejoins the rest of the losties.

I liked the finale but I'm not at all happy that Charlie died. :( It seemed kind of a needless thing to happen the way they did it..... he could have run OUT of the room before he locked the door.... it wouldn't have been hard. And he would have fit through the round window! UG

Anyways, the funeral had to be for someone who was on the island with them. And a guy because they mentioned he several times. And the name started with J. So my guess is it's Sawyer because isn't his real name James? It also fits with Jack saying that he's not friends or family. Because I certainly don't think he would consider Sawyer his friend, but I think Jack would feel compelled to go to his funeral regardless.

Kate could be with anyone but my theory is that it's her son she has to get back to, since she said something about the others testing her too to see if she's pregnant. Maybe it's her and Sawyer's son.

I don't think Locke will leave the island. He loves it too much. I don't know about the others. :)

I like it except for the flash forwards. It was a funeral for a man who's first name started with a J. If you go on the Lost web page there are screen captures of the piece of paper Jack was reading. I think Kate was with Sawyer. Not sure where it goes from here. It seems like the "others" are beaten.

I think that it was ben's funeral by the way Kate acted.
i think Kate is together with Sawer.
I think Loche and Rose will die as described in my earlier answer and ben will get off ,go to jail, and die.

We haven't met the person yet. The casket is way TOO SHORT to be any adult we've met, and it is too short to be Walt's.

Kate, my guess is Sawyer.

I know they don't want to leave the island, but maybe they will later in the seasons.

Jack's dad is dead. Jack was drugged up and most likely drunk when he mentioned his dad (notice the wtf look on the doctors face when Jack said that) and how he reacted to the pharmacist when she wanted to verify Christian's prescription.
