to buy American means to support American workers and their families! I try to do that as I do not support all that cheap stuff from china! I am not an American but live here and feel that Americans should be supported in their effort 2000%!

Well hopefully at some future point, we'll all look at things in the context of the entire world and humanity as a whole. But at this early stage of human societal development, we're still pretty much all nationalistic savages.
But I do feel compelled to point out that when you buy an item that's manufactured in the USA, it was made by someone who's being paid a living wage and who is afforded good working conditions and basic human rights. And made by a company that's subject to certain standards of environmental accountability. When you buy an item manufactured overseas, there's an excellent chance it was made in a sweatshop in a third-world country with a history of human rights abuses and absolutely no pollution restrictions.
So "Made in the USA" means a great deal more than national pride.

Are you aware of how much money is owed to the U.S. by foreign countries, money we have loaned them to help their economies, their rain forests, their poor starving citizens?
Trillions of dollars. That will never be paid off. Are you aware that many countries around the world look to the U.S. first to solve their problems, be it political, economic or social? Someone has to be there for America, and I don't believe there is anything wrong with Americans wanting to "buy American" in order to boost the American economy, help American workers keep jobs, and to get quality products at reasonable prices. We live on this earth, too, and no one looks after us except our own. In fact, many of the countries like to participate in "American-bashing," much like you are doing here, at the same time as they receive assistance from our country.

Good point, but two things, one you're probably 2 or 3 centuries ahead of your time and the world isn't ready for that kind of unity yet, and 2, what's your question? if you want to rant use a political forum not Yahoo! Answers.

Well it's not gonna be "Earth Pride" because the people of Earth cant seem to get along. I do think that all this "American Pride" stuff just makes all the other countries hate us even more!

When all the people on earth see themselves as part of a global community, that is when you will see the change you are talking about.
Until that happens, people are going to naturally support what is most familiar to them.

I don't make enough money or energy to help the whole earth. Just my little corner of it.
