B - 48 Feet of wood around the frame! But if you really meant square feet of wood since you also mentioned that the frame was 2 ft. in width, then the total square footage is 24 square feet on a side x 4 sides or 96 square feet of wood.
This does not include the square feet of the bottom piece of the sandbox, which would be 12 ft x 12 ft or 144 square feet! I think you meant to say, 'How many square feet, instead of feet of wood!

The answer would be 48 liner feet. Now you must take into account can you get 12 ft boards 2 ft wide. Also what kind of brackets will you need in the corners. So you will need more than 48 ft. To correctly answer this question we need more info.

I think that there are 12 edges as follows:-
8 at 12ft = 96ft
4 at 2ft = 8ft
Total = 104 ft
