I think I have nothing to do with what other people want. If that makes them happy, go for it. I'll stick to the traditional way myself. I really don't see whats the big deal about this whole subject. With or against its not effecting you unless you let it.

Yes. I know the Bible speaks out against homosexuality but I think love is love. I think at the time the Bible was written people were different than they are today. There wasn't the sickness, there wasn't the pollution and whatever. I mean people didn't have asthma then but they do today. So, what we are is the culmination of eons of change. I don't think decisions can be made regarding sexual orientation today. I don't think it's that clear cut. One hundred years ago black and white marriages were an anathema and now most people accept it. Those are my reasons. I suppose I can see how some people would not agree with it if they were wholly relying on the Bible. If that is the case, I think it would be nice to calmly explain the rationale and not resort to base references like God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve especially when one considers gay marriage includes female as well which most guys don't seen to have a problem with and makes the objection seem hypocritical.

Yes I agree with gay marriage. There are sooo many problems with relationships today why shouldn't anybody that has found true love with someone be allowed to make a total lifetime commitment to the person they love. The world should be trying to stop hate not love.

Yes, because marriage isn't a relgious union to begin with, it is a CIVIL union. In order to get married one must get a license through the city/town/municipality where they live. They do NOT have to have a religious ceremony in order to be legally married, there doesn't have to be any meniton of ANY diety in their vows if the choose not to have any. Therefore the "god" angle is a moot point, as religion is brought into the union ONLY if the couple wants it to be.
That said, yes gays should have the right to a civil union/marriage so that both partners may partake in all of the benefits of living together a hetero couple is awarded when they get married, right to share in their spouse's insurance benefits on the job, the right to marital assets, the right to be awarded the estate if their partner dies, rather than allowing blood relatives who haven't been around for the 40-50 years they've been together to come in and take everything and leave the surviving partner out in the cold. I'm sure no hetero couple would like that to happen to them.
Do you think a woman would like to have spent 40-50 years with the same man his family having disowned him. Spend time supporting him, loving him caring for him and visa versa. Building up a home and a nice bank account, so that you might one day be able to retire and enjoy it comfortably. Only one day your partner dies and his family suddenly swoops in from no where claiming the home (you have to give up your half), and all of the assets becuase they are related to the deceased by blood and you're not related to him? I don't know of many women who lived with a man would like that to happen to them...which is exactly what happens to gays after years of being together. It's only fair to allow them the same rights as hetero couples get.
And for the bible thumpers...leave religion out of it not everyone believes in YOUR god.

*You know this question creates such heated debates, but here is my answer.*
~I do not see the big freakin deal !!
.What other people do on their time, is their problem.
.It's their lifestyle, leave them alone.
.If everyone would spend as much time thinking about OTHER things more important (poverty, war, politics, etc.) as they do about things that don't even concern them such as gay marriage, then the world would be fine.
......Geez....it's not like someone comes up to you and tells you not use Tide when you do your laundry b/c it's "wrong" or because they don't use it.......!!!
(Bad analogy, I know)
.I'm just making a point that there is SOMETHING that EVERYONE in this world does, that "Isn't right"
......so why is everyone spending so much time and energy on the gay marriage topics when there is SO many other things in this world that have far more importance (war, poverty etc.) than that does.
**UGh.........yeah I have nothing more to say I guess, besides I just do not see the problem...b/c it's not my life and it's none of my business. And I think everyone needs to apply that same concept to their way of thinking and move on to more bigger and more important topics that are going on in our world today.

what is marraige anyways? its a piece of paper that the law recognizes/a promise between two people.
should the law recognize these two people have chosen to be together? YES since thats what they are doing reguardless. Should gay people make promises to eachother? YES they are gong to do that anyways too. I have no clue why they havent allowed this and keep fighting it. if its a moral issue, you can never impose your morals on another. would a christian want someone from another religion to impose thier morals on them? NO let everyone just be and let God judge. if i was God i would rather let a good hearted decent gay person in heaven then an evil heterosexual man in to my kingdom.

There is nothing to agree or disagree with; "Gay" and "Marriage" do not go hand-in-hand. We have a literal definition of marriage, being between two opposite sexes (in the US). This was signed into Law by Bill Clinton in 1996.

No Way, If God had intended for a man to be with a man then He would have created 2 Adams and 2 Eves so they could chose, but He didn't He created Adam and Eve (one male and one female) I think gay marriage is wrong, Point Blank.

Do you believe in GOD? That should sum it up right there if you do. It says it in the bible that it is wrong. So NO I DON'T AGREE ON GAY MARRIAGES!!! Don't get me wrong I am not a GAY hater. I have gay friends, but I do however think it is wrong to let them marry. Marriage is for a man and a woman, it's been at way for centuries.

Since believing in God is becoming a very taboo thing in America these days, I am not surprised most people here could care less about the topic or agree with it.
Since I am a God-fearing Christian the answer of course is no no and no.
No wonder why Muslims hate us and are willing to die to get us out of their countries.

I say true love shall always be okay. Judging one by their sexual orientation would be like saying only true blonds can marry true blonds.
I would rather see a child being raised by two people in love rather than two people that argue, fuss, and fight contestant. Weather they are two women or two men; as long as they are true leave them alone!
I thought we separated church and state years and years a go!!
