I do not think amish are crazy. the amish believe that a simple life is the ay god wants them to live so they follow that. I believe they are devout men and women who stand up for their belief and cause no harm.

Not at all. They live now as my ancestors probably did about three generations back. Work the land, keep the home, have a relationship with God, and care for your family and community. Sometimes when you look at the dependency on material goods, electricity, gas, cell phones, ipods and computers, all of which do you no good when power fails or prices rocket, you wonder if the Amish had the right idea all along.

it's all a point of view... is anyone really normal? Amish people would not consider themself crazy but an outsider might see them as odd or crazy, no one is like the next person. are Crazy people really Crazy? or are we the ones that are not right? They are considered to be the upper/lower class of life, people see them as holy people and very smart BUT they are human! and people just like you and me, they put their pants on one leg at a time. So NO they are not crazy to themself. What is your oppion? are they crazy?
My source is the fact that my Grandparents was amish and I have a lot of Amish people in my family. So am I crazy? have a good one and good luck on your project

No, I find it deeply admirable that they continue to live their lives in concordance with their beliefs and morals. They work hard and live modestly. I do not think many people are capable of that kind of integrity and devotion to a moral and religious framework.
They look at the world around them, and choose to live outside it. That takes courage and strength of conviction. But they do not condemn others who choose to live differently, which is really what impresses me. Other religions and societies are quick to denounce people who are different as evil or wrong, but the Amish simply live their lives and keep their opinions to themselves.

No, they are very smart.
No gas bill, phone or cable..
We're the dummies paying to watch TV and drive a car.
