Although the film IS pretty damn bloody/gory, think something more along the lines of a turn-of-the-century cannibal story, crossed with the musical "Oklahoma", as filtered through the twisted and demented folks over at the Troma studios, in conjunction with the demented crew who created South Park.
The real-life story behind legendary American cannibal Alfred Packer, which the film is based upon, is much more scary...
If you are interested in picking up this little twisted ditty of a film, Troma Studios is about to release a special edition anniversary DVD; the date of release is still unknown, at this time.
