Someone said it my be my memory card. Any ideas on how to get it back or what the problem is?

Do you mean the Blue E? Internet Explorer? To get it back, go: Control Panel>Display>Desktop(tab)>Customize Desktop(button) and select "Internet Explorer" from the options. If it's already selected, de-select it, apply & re-select it.

Right click on the desktop and select Properties from the menu that appears
Click on the Desktop Tab
Click on the Customize Desktop button
There is a check box that turns on or off the Internet Explorer Icon.

you mean internet explorer?
you can make a new shortcut by opening start programs
drag the internet explorer icon to your desktop
