Well now I know you're going to think this sounds far fetched.

But believe it or not, the war is being fought so that Exxon can make a lot of money.

And Exxon doesn't make a lot of money when the price is low.

See, they need an assured supply, otherwise there could be a fuel crisis.

We had such a crisis in the mid seventies. There followed a massive public outcry for gas conservation. And as a result, demand, and therefore the price, was depressed for years afterwards. The American gas companies lost out big time.

Again, Exxon doesn't make a lot of money when the price is low.

See, the idea is to keep supplies steady, but just barely adequate to meet demand. That way, high prices can be maintained long term, maximizing profits.

Yes, believe it or not, this war is being fought for oil, for Exxon.

Which means it is NOT being fought so that sh!t-for-brains dumbasses like yourself can go on sucking up cheap gas like the thoughtless hogs you are.

Yes, believe it or not, the interests of a multi multi billion dollar corporation ultimately count for more in Washington than the interests of some fata$$ commuter trying to get to his office job from the suburbs in a f*cking Range Rover.

F*ckng DUH.

You really have to ask this question with the oil companies reporting record breaking profits? The oil wells in Iraq are being pumped out with no meters on them (4 yrs and waiting for meters to be installed) and the Iraqi people say approx 15 million dollars worth a day is being stolen. Put 2 and 2 together and you get Big oil 4 itself.

I dont think of faith starts all wars, because of the fact i think of in the top, faith replaced into created so human beings have a feeling of emotional and spiritual help in circumstances of difficulty that all of them placed their faith and hopes in. So i think of at first it wasn't meant to be like this, and it replaced into all non violent and effective. it extremely is purely that over the years, human beings twist and contort the ideals of their religions, and a few attempt to 'play god' through manipulating human beings's recommendations and ideology, and verify out to anticipate the chief so human beings might desire to persist with him, and all that bullshit. after which you start to have a number of those recommendations washing stuff, and persons certainly use violence as a means of venting their frustration on the injustice in the international. it is the place faith will become a monster and reasons all the uncertainties and wars. and that i hate it how some Christians (take notice: some) say atheists are stupid and retarded to have self assurance that "no longer something got here from no longer something and not something got here approximately and there replaced into no longer something in the universe".

Its more a question of, where will our oil be if terrorists control the country that guards the river where we get most of our oil. Nothing funnier than a bumper sticker that says "no blood for oil" on a car that runs completlely off oil. Well yea, there is one thing, those "impeach Bush" bumber stickers. All that would happen would be millions on legal fees and Dick Cheney in office, if the trial ended before Jan 09.

It wasn't to release the oil. It was to control the oil flow. That's why the price of oil is increasing because oil production is down. Courtesy of the Bush Administration.

the oil is under the ground.
but seriously the oil in the middle east is crucial to our economy and the global economy. if it fell into the wrong hands or pipes were blown up, it could have devastating effects around the world.
China and India are eyeing up the remaining cheap oil in the world, so it is an economic strategic advantage for the US to protect the oil.

Why do you continue the war for security despite the fact we're over here nonsense? I feel really safe now that we're no longer having to deal with all those problems that comes with real security.

Pretty observant of you.

Although it is true that we have an interest in oil, we aren't in the business of taking what belongs to others (anymore).

The oil is where it has always been.

I'd have to agree. If we invaded for oil, oil prices would be LOWER.
