Kate M, Please remember that Barbara Walters intended for the View to have different women with different points of views to host the show. Sally Fields is so easy going that she would not have a side to anything. The show would be boring if everyone agreed on everything.

Very interesting ...if not the Dixie Chicks, they certainly need someone as spirited as Rosie...she Will be hard to replace, even though 'they' say that everyone can be.....Rosie O'Donnell is a fabulous human being, no matter what her preferences are..I think her I.Q. is extremely high....and you said it right 'well articulated' is what Rosie is all about...good luck to the View, especially when Elizabeth is on leave (she adds the spice without the experience at this stage!) Poor Joy...another fantastic girl...she has to put up will all this....but she does have class!

I would soooo watch that! I agree that if has been reality show chick stays and voices the right side opinion it is only fair to get a left sided person on there too. Not everyone agrees with Elisabeth and we should not have to sit through her brainwashing attempts on us.

whomever replaces rosie has got to be a spitfire just like her. that person has got to be opionionated (spelled wrong sorry) and not be afraid to speak her mind. Dixie chicks has already been banned and on their way to a comeback from that whole bush statement so its safe to say they wont be taking a seat on the pannel..

Hell no! I use to like them before they became such loud mouths. They should put the Dixie Chicks and Rosie in a caravan and send them to Iraq to see what it is really like there and not what the media portrays. I would never watch the view with them on the show!

I don't think they should name a woman based on her political view. They sure as heck don't need another Joy! It needs to be someone in her mid to late 40's.

Oh god no why replace fat head rosie with another group of fatheads ? sorry no way they need someone classy on there like maybe Sally Field or Olympia Dukakass or maybe Kirstie alley . some one who would add some class to the show .
