I would be straightforward and always truthful for sometimes the truth hurts but I would do it for the betterment of the person and not their detriment. I will always be mindful and respectful of the person keeping in mind that insults only cause injury and discontent while an admonition should be more readily acceptable.

You just say no comment or just stay silent. I do either of those two things when I really want to tell people off but I don't want to hurt their feelings.
