In "Through the Looking Glass", Jack as a "flashforward" rather than a flashback. I know I'm not insane, but he asks the other doctor to call his (Jack's) father and if he is drunker than his father, he will allow himself to be fired. We KNOW that Jack's father is dead in the present....how can he be alive in the past? Was this an error by the writers or is something else up?

Rest assured that it was NOT an error. We don't know what the writers are up to but you know it will be good.

The last 10 minutes was the best 10 minutes in UNreality television.

or perhaps domicile truly is ineffective? It regarded like Wilson became hallucinating each and every thing after he began ranting on the funeral. The clue is the song that performed on the motorbike scene became an identical song used seasons decrease back whilst domicile became imagining Amber. i'm hoping he truly did die (lol) through fact the plot twist isn't as conceivable. became that no longer domicile shifting in the direction of the window formerly the ceiling fell to the floor and blew each and every thing up? How might he have planned this whilst he became waiting to die mutually as the development became on fireplace? I understand there are valid arguments that he's only the suited magician in this episode (the final scene with Foreman finding the tag under the table), yet good judgment truly will become lost in case you assert he left that development and not using a scratch. i understand your submit covers each and every thing i've got suggested, yet my very final answer is that he's regrettably bodily ineffective as nicely.

I was wondering about the mention of his father --

Possibilities:
1. Jack's father is not dead.
2. The man Jack thought was his father, is not in fact, his biological father.
3. Jack has gone off the deep end... he is on drugs, alcohol, whatever
4. Jack may believe his father is still alive somewhere, maybe on the island, since his casket was empty

I hope next season will be interesting, especially since new episodes start in 2008!

I thought the same thing when he said that. Overall it was a really good episode last night. I am thinking they are leaving the door open for Charlie to come back. You know that window was blown out, he could swim out (it looked big enough for him to squeeze out), but I am not sure if they are bringing him back. I hope they do. My big question is, Was Danielle Russo pregnant when she landed on the island or did she get pregnant on the island? Ben is the father and he has been on the island since he was a little boy. So if she got pregnant on the island, why didn't she and Alex die like all the other mothers. Also, if the island heals that fast, why didn't it heal Shannon or Boone, they died. Locke was shot and he was up walking around. So many questions, so many questions. I would really love to know who it was that died in Jack's flash forward scenes or who Kate is with!!!! I am a Lost fanatic, I love this show.

Actually we're not sure if in fact the "Flash-Forward" is a definite reality. The episode is called "Through the Looking Glass" which is a reference to the Alice In Wonderland books. Those books make many references to alternate realities and opposites, so what we saw last night may not be necessarily the truth.

I think it was nothing more than Jack being hopped up on drugs. He was bugging out. That's why the Dr. he was yelling at was looking at him like he was a nut job. He was probably thinking "Who's this guys father?"

Yes I believe Charlie might still be alive!!!!!

All of those flashes were a flash FORWARD. None of that was the past.

Jack was really high and drunk.

Notice the wtf look on the face of the doctor talking to Jack when Jack says about talking to his father.

Notice the reaction Jack had with regards to the pharmacist saying she needs to verify the prescription?

I would guess that it is something that is going to be answered next season. I was also wondering about that and also thought that maybe it just shows how out of it Jack really is. He really seems to have lost his grip on reality.

Remeber that when Jack opened his father's casket after the crash it was empty? So we don't know for sure if he is dead.

Jack's father was seen alive and well on the island many times. He must have been revived on the crash.
