I agree with you. Thirty years ago it was "global cooling." Ten years ago it was "global warming." Now it's "climate change." Yeah, that's right - any "significant" change in climate (and isn't that such a subjective term? ugh) can be ruled a result of human behavior.
No duh, the climate changes? The Earth is a dynamic force. IT CHANGES. Why would anyone think it's supposed to be stagnant? During the 1300s, Europe was so warm that farmers were growing vineyards in the south of England. It's not even warm enough in 2007 to support that. Yeah, the climate changes - the climate can change drastically all the time on its own. The history of the planet Earth is a story of change.

there is climate change. If it's caused by man's actions is the real issue thou.
It certainly suits some people to hype up the role of man in all of this. But many of these poliies make liitle or no real sense on a global scale.
Why , for example, would people in a country the size of say Norway, Switzerland, Denmark or Ireland be expected to cut their carbon omisions the same as China India , Russia the US etc?
Yet some of those small countries are actaully stricter.
It seems to be about more things other than just concern for the environment at play here .e.g money and control.
The NWO again?

I think nature is just following its patterns it has since the dawn of time I do not believe for a second it can be stopped or started my man and if the planet is warming then how is this a bad thing? evidence shows it has happened many times and we are still here. Not to mention many credible scientist believe just the opposite is true. Weather for casters cannot get the 5 day forecast right how can they get a 50 year forecast right? Nature emits more so called green house gases than man produces and nature filters it out it is all about money every bit of it if not what are these carbon credits about? they are nothing more than a way to keep people from feeling guilty if they use their grill this summer

Global warming is not happening?
There is not such a thing as man-made global warning?
Scientist don´t agree and those denying global warming are even silenced?
I have seen these comments a lot in the answers. And my question is: what qualifications do you have to make such statements?
Well, let me tell you that you are not even WRONG!!! I just can´t believed how ignorant you are.
The UN has coordinated a panel of about 3,000 top world scientists AGREEING on the FACT that global warming EXISTS and is MAN-MADE.
I wish you were the only one "feeling" this way, but it seems there are lots of other people in serious need of a brain where you come from...

I'm not in a position intellectually to say that global warming isn't happening, but the reasons given for it are a total load of BS. Actually, I think even a theory requires a broad consensus so at best the causes given or only a weak hypothesis. This planet has always had climate changes and it will continue to as long as it exists, or are we to believe that global warming/cooling was caused by man even before man existed?

Global warming as a natural cyclical trend is real. Anything that comes out of Al Gores mouth is crap though. This is his new religion. Man can do little to stop the warming or cooling of the earth. Not unless they can somehow figure out how to control the sun.
El Cuervo: There also used to be a large group of scientists that all agreed that the world was flat as well...we all see how that turned out.

You nailed it!! And you are FAR from alone in feeling that way. My husband and I laugh our butts off whenever Gore comes out with a new speech.
Don't you love how we're villified for not believing the junk science that was used to "prove" Global Warming?
Now, I like clean air and water and am all for keeping them clean for our continued HEALTH and enjoyment--plus the health and sustained populations of earth's creatures and our food supply! It's just plain SMART to keep our air and water clean.
And I think it's smart to reduce, reuse, and recycle because it limits the amount of garbage put into land fills (and the amount of crap seeping into the water table from those fills)... It also reduces the amount of new plastic, metal, glass, paper, etc. that has to be created... Again, smart--not particularly cost-effective, but better than piling reusable waste into a land fill.
But I don't believe MANKIND is having an impact on the environment beyond how clean or dirty the air and water are. Short of all-out nuclear war, humans simply don't have sufficient resources to actually change the earth's temperature--for that you need something called... the SUN!
"Global warming" is a natural cycle of the earth, just like global cooling--of course back in the day we just called those "ice ages."
Actually, I do believe that there is one man-made factor in global "warming"--all the hot air spewing from the left on this ridiculous theory. And this nonsense about carbon credits is pure, unadulterated fraud!
Actually it's encouraging... Maybe we could create some sort of new "the world is in danger" conspiracy that would fool libs into buying oxygen credits to breathe!
Hmmmm... I may be onto something there! LOL

I really just consider it a theory and that theories can change. So I don't really know what to think about global warming except get a way from middle eastern oil and lets try to get the air clean because it is good for the environment.

Please clarify to me how the concept of anthropogenic global warming is meant to advance taxes. i'm particular politicians will attempt to toughen taxes =because= of the concept, yet no scientist helping the concept has ever stated as for something of the kind. And at the same time as the international has been the following for billions of years, that's no reason to imagine we are incapable of expertise it. the completed actuality is largely a controversy from own incredulity. you're declaring "i in my opinion lack the mind's eye to well known the way we may be able to understand something so previous when we are so youthful, hence: we are able to not understand the planet". i'm particular you will discover how ridiculous this line of questioning is. The planet and each and everything on that's ruled by utilising the needed regulations of physics, which we understand completely nicely. So assuming the guidelines of physics have remained consistent because the formation of the planet (and we don't have any reason to believe they have not), we will be fairly particular that the concept is valid. I also needs to communicate about that, to date, no longer one unmarried scientist has =ever= been ridiculed or fired for no longer agreeing with the overall consensus over the concept. And in case you opt to declare otherwise i will ought to invite that you present day your information helping this egregious accusation. really, i'd like you to present day a unmarried piece of documented information tha by any ability shows any type of conspiracy the following by any ability. because you've all yet accused the entire medical community of fraud, i assume you ought to have some basically exceptional information for me. finally, you do not realize the concept of a medical theory. Theories are not to any extent further made to be 'shown' or 'disproven'. A theory is basically the astounding variety of the international or element of it we are able to create with the attainable documents. No theory can ever be extremely 'shown', all scientists can do is opt for which theory more beneficial ideal explains the observable information. And at present day global warming theory does that more beneficial ideal than any theory on the problem ever devised.

This is getting really silly, folks. Read the scientific information and stop clogging up YA with how much you don’t believe in global warming. What’s the point? No sensible person is going to believe you versus the vast majority of respected scientists in the world.
I understand that you have a political agenda but you don’t have reason, logic, data and scientific analysis on your side. A political agenda is not enough to convince rational individuals that your position has any merit whatsoever.

Yep. Thank you for coming out and saying the cold hard truth. And no you are not the only one who feels that way. If you want folks to see for themselves what you have stated here have them look up "The Great Global Warming Swindle" a rebuttal to Al Gore's fictional piece "An Inconvenient Truth". Later days and stay strong.
