No. Thier defense is getting older and Willis McGahee is a minor upgrade. Troy Smith will not play this year. They are good enough to beat the Pats, the worst of the three, but neither teh Colts, nor the Chargers will fall to Baltimore.

I still think they are about at the same place they were last year...
On defense they lost Adalius Thomas & the rest of the guys sure arn't getting any younger
But still they are a top 5 defense without a doubt (probably still the best)
---
Ben Grubbs will help out a bit with that o-line, but rookies always seem to struggle on the line... So I dunno if you can expect too much from him this year
Willis McGahee is more explosive than Jamal Lewis... But Jamal always got those tough yards
The passing game stayed the same and frankly I dunno if they did enough to get past the Colts, Chargers or Pats
I still think they are the 4th best team in the AFC but just have no chance against the 3 elite teams

McGahee? Don't make me laugh. Unless they play the Jets all 19 games, they'll get the same out of him as the Bills did...consistent mediocrity. He isn't a decisive runner nor is he an exceptionally powerful or fast one. He is also a terrible blocker and receiver
As for their offensive line...I can't see how you can argue it is significantly better than Buffalo's was(in the second half of last year, mind you, when our offense lit up.) It is comprised mostly of the aging and the mediocre, and Ben Grubbs is but the first sign of a needed youth movement. The defense is aging too(most noticably CB Samari Rolle.)
As for Troy Smith, the players the Ravens drafted before him figure to have more impact. I'd bet on Kyle Boller getting his career in line before I'd bet on Troy Smith doing anything...

Yes, although they lost Adelius Thomas but they still have Suggs and they have made some strides on Offense. With McGahee for a running back they secured the future they just need to develop Smith and now's the time for a super bowl as Ray Lewis is slated to retire this year and Ed Reed only has 5 years or so left in him.

I think they can be in the conference championship but as far as the superbowl goes they might need to have a more experienced runner because playoff football is a complete different experience than a regular game and mcgahee doesnt step up in big games.

While the offense is improved, its still mid tier compared to the Colts, Pats, Bengals, and Chargers. It's still the D that will win them games. The games are going to be close, and if it comes down to the 4th Q, McNair might be able to steal a couple for the Ravens.

No!!
He is to small and fumbles to much doesn't get enough TDs.
He is over rated!! If you look at what those other Teams did in the off season they are better then Ravens. They are just an average team, and are not going to win in the playoffs.

They'll make the playoffs and McGahee will be better than he was in Buffalo behind the Ravens' OL, but I don't think they make it the 'big game'.

Nah. McGahee will knock up 10 sleazy broads in Baltimore and the pressure of impending fatherhood will drive him insane.
