I'd have to say the "old" Avril; she's trying too hard, especially with her new album, to play the hot pop princess alongside the punk edge. It's just not a good mash-up for me. (Although I do like some of her newer music, like Keep Holding On and Innocence. But Girlfriend sounds too much like a cheerleader chant!)

I prefer the old Avril Lavigne because her old songs were original.

I don't understand what you mean. Her look? The blonde hair? I find her music is still the same as it was years ago. I think she looks better with brown hair not the bleached blonde. She is starting to dress more her age instead of the sk8ter look. She is also maturing and she is now married so I am expecting her sound and look to change.
