He wasn't told then that it was an attack numb nuts! All he knew was that the events had happened (i.e. two planes crashed into the towers).
I suppose you knew exactly who had done it and why as soon as you turned on the TV huh? No, you waited until you were told by the news that it was terrorists. I don't think anyone, including the president, could have imagined the magnitude of what was happening until it was already too late.
Not to mention, do you want a leader that, as soon as he hears about a disaster, jolts off in an apparent panic? I don't know about you, but I would like my leader to stay calm and collected while thinking and evaluating his next move.

And Democratic presidential candidate Kerry admitted that he was too stunned to do anything for 45 minutes.
I think this is probably the cheapest, pettiest, most childish attack on a person, that he didn't react fast enough.
And it is the height of falsehood to claim that we'd have castigated Clinton for the same reason; that we'd have been childish and petty like the liberals.
Please note that the Republicans did NOT blame Clinton for failing to stop or respond quickly enough to the 1st WTC bombing. So claiming that we'd act like the Democrats have is a falsehood.

What did you want him to do? Jump up and run out and get in a fighter jet and fly to New York? The 5 minutes he sat there absorbing the information that he was just presented with were well spent, and he did not unnecessarily alarm the children with whom he took the time to visit. Find something else to whine about . And no, if Clinton had been sittingthere, we would have been concerned for the safety of the children in the room .

worse than that, he claimed that he saw the first plane hit on TV prior to having entered the classroom. The problem is that there was no footage aired that day of the first plane strike.
Wow, I get a thumbs down for stating a verifiable fact, must have been from a revisionist

Excuse me exactly where was he supposed to go? We're under attack so lets go flying around like a mad man. It's awfully hypocritical to here liberals say Bush is so inept yet criticize him for not taking the helm immediately on 9/11.
Besides Bush told his secret service detail he wanted to go back to Washington saying that "the people want to hear from their damn President", but the chief of the detail refused to bring him back to Washington, and it was abroad air force one that they convinced him to go to Louisiana.

I remember feeling scared myself when it happened. I watched that second plane hit and was dumbfounded. I guess the President can't be human?

No it’s not grounds for Impeachment, it’s not his fault. Dick was hiding in an undisclosed spot and didn’t have an opportunity to tell G.W. what to do.
