Why is it that most guys feel like they should be the soul provider for a family? they don't need to do everything on their own.
and why do guys have such a problem with their girlfriends having a higher payin job???

Not all guys do have problems with that. Most men are hunters/gathers by instinct. It is their instinct that drives them to want to be the provider/protector of their family. It's also bred into them and socialized into them by our cultures and societies.

Yes, sharing responsibility not only reduces burden but gives sense of satisfaction that the woman has done something for the family and home.
I am sad that you are unable to find this satisfaction. No, guys can't have problem with their girlfriends if they have higher paying job, how it's possible.
It feels so good when you seen a woman you are proud of earning more than you and feeling on top of the world, its a lovely feeling to see her feeling content and sucessful.

because, as a REAL man, you know you are just wired that way. It gives us a reason to get up before dawn each day and bust our butts to make ends meet. On the flip side, we like to be shown appreciation for doing so by the woman in our life

They feel that they should be superior. They are very proud. They can't accept that a woman may be better at things then them. Also, its like a dominating thing. They just can't handle being under someone. very competative.

I think it is because they want to be needed. We make the babies, we can work too, we can make more than them, etc... They need to feel that there is a real reason for them to be around. So, if you want to work and make more than him, that is fine, just make sure that you find something that you need him for. Show him why you need him and no one else in your life, and show him everyday..

because there insecure and think they are god and the man!!
please they need to get a grip and be happy the females like to be the provider sometimes.
men can just be jerks and we have to love them don't we?

Men are very competative. Men like to be dominant, its just our human nature.

They are still getting used to it, I guess as the "stronger sex" it is a traditional role, thank goodness that traditions are changing
