Slender 3" fish in small shallow goldfish pond. bright orange and one has black fins and tail. What could they be?

It's possible it is a goldfish.

It could also be a swordtail or platy, but if it's surviving a cold winter, the last two are tropicals and wouldn't make it. Goldfish can survive over winter if the pond is deep enough so the water doen't freeze through to the bottom.

It might also be a rosy red (pink color variation of a fathead minnow sold as feeder fish) - these can also over winter.
