Well, it seems like everytime a European country, or a group of European countries, get in a bind the U.S. has ALWAYS BEEN AROUND to help out.

World War II. This is why there is American Hegemony. The most powerful and largest nation in Europe, Germany was split in two and is still recovering after reunification. France, UK and Italy lost its apetite for global conquest and control and took most of the last century to heal from the war.

In terms of aid the European countries are larger donors and their charities are more effective at getting aid where its needed the most.

Leadership comes from the fact the USA is the largest developed democracy with the largest military in the world. While Europe was getting over the destruction of WWII American was innovating and inventing as well as perfecting technologies, i.e. television that was invented in Europe.

The USA was also pushed forward by the USSR in spreding its global influence and military development.

Things are going to change soon. The Europe is coming back in the guise of the EU using its economic weight and democraphics are being boosted by the eastern bloc of nations. China with its massive population and growing economy and military is the elephant in the room in terms of global politics. India is the largest democracy on the planet and will soon be the largest country in terms of population. Russia is also pushing its weight again due to its massive natural resourses. So the situation may change dramatically within 50 years.

Age is not indicitative of success. Egypt has been around for thousands of years, yet they're really not prominent of the world stage. Nor does age work against a country, China is also thousands of years old and is rapidly growing in stature.

The fact of the matter is that the US is a big place - much bigger than western europe. There is an awful lot of resources there - and the US has all the technology that Europe possesses.

However, if you take the EU as a whole it is a stronger economy (according to the IMF) with $14,527,140 million (i.e. 14 million million) wheras the US has $13,244,550 million. If you are comparing the US you shouldn't do it with individual European countries, as they are a lot smaller, it's just that the EU doesn't work as a whole very well yet.

In addition most countries in Europe are not that old. As geographical entities maybe, but the form of government makes a HUGE difference. All the countries beyond the Iron Curtain are only just over 15 years old. France is almost exactly the same age as the US. Ireland is only 96. Spain has only been without fascists since 1978. Germany was formed in 1814.

Blame united statesa. for utilizing those international places and forcing them into such corruption. And do you relatively need the middle East to have nuclear weapons? the international would not prefer from now on nuclear weapons, or any for that count number! and what's incorrect with socialism? a central authority that relatively somewhat cares for its electorate, how destructive! you comprehend, united statesa. is a rustic of immigrants. There are white, black, asian, community american, and hispanic human beings all born there. purely as a results of fact nonwhite genuinely everyone isn't of maximum human beings, that would not cause them to any much less American in the event that they're born there. you assert you're no longer a white supremacist, yet what you assert is uninformed and ability which you're in actuality in help of white supremacy.

Our leadership is at an all time low, band-aides is all we got because were a "Debtor Nation" come on we owe China,Canada, Japan,Mexico,Venezuela even as well as others.Immigration figures seem to suggest this is where the world is headed not to destroy. George B. has proved that we can bring our own selves down quite nicely.

Americans are more willing to take chances. I think this at least in part genetic.
Americans are or are descended from those with the most guts. It took guts to leave their homeland & start all over. As the SAS says, "He who dares, wins".

The US is bigger and has more natural resources.
Some of those European countries are providing much much more world aid per capita than the US. Few countries want to bring us down - most have their economies intermeshed with ours - they are desperately hoping we don't bring the World economy down with our National Debt.

This LOOKS like a Rush question - its a "PUSH" question.

It pushes an unproven claim while pretending to ask about it. Typical propaganda.

Same reason a 5 year old can run circles around a 95 year old - boundless energy and the inability to realize that running in circles doesn't get you anywhere.

Um, you don't think Europe gives other countries economic aid and leadership? Do a little more research, you'd be surprised.
