Holly Cow! That is the first time I have ever heard of the IRS correcting a mistake so willingly. Just curious did they pay you penalties & interest for the time period that they stole your money? I would take them to court for stealing.

Nope, because it ain't gonna happen.

If anything comes from the IRS it will be a Penalty and Interest letter for filing my taxes late.

See in case you will come across a duplicate of your 2001 return. in case you had a reimbursement coming for 2001, whether you hadn't filed you won't owe any effects, it could purely be too late to get your refund now.

Wow!! Did that really happen to you?? Congrads! I'd put half in the bank and use the rest to buy stuff or go away for a few days to somewhere awesome!

Well, after I finished jumping up and down, and whooping it up, I'd go out for a nice dinner and buy some new things for the house.

I would head to the airport. That is the best news I've heard all day. Definitely go somewhere nice tonight.

I would most likely have to pay bills with that so I wouldn't be able to celebrate much.

I would spend part of it on you. So wouldn't it only be right for you to do that for me. I know I can count on you to do the right thing and thank-you in advance. You are such a nice person.

It's party time. You need to throw a "I screwed the IRS party." That would be funny.

I keep fingers crossed that happens.
I will donate 20% to charity.

20% to children.
Renovate my house and live in comfort.
