I have wondered for a while now why we don't have our own flag and read many questions about this same issue. Is it because we have a low percentage of internet users from South Africa or are we just considered a third world country? The Philippines have their own spot and they are third world, right? But, look at the amount of open questions they have! Two hundred and we have only 70! Also take a look at South Korea with almost no questions, but a spot on the site. How about we all contact Yahoo Answers and ask them?

I am under the impression that home base for this site is the US. Now,without sounding negative, isnt it because that in American eyes South Africa hasnt a separate identity to the rest of Africa. It seems to make sense from a lot of answerers who express surprise that Americans know very little about South Africa and ask questions about Lions in the streets etc. How you persuade them otherwise is anyone's guess. Try an ANC trick and suggest South Africa has no separate identity because of the legacy of colonialism.Just a thought.

The flags are in keeping with places of massive numbers of clientele, Yahoo servers, and business enterprise/classified ads for Yahoo. that's no longer something against a usa, in basic terms the point of the internet in a usa. there are a number of countries no longer represented. eire is complained regarding the main.

The low internet usage in SA may have something to do with the high internet fees and the, as yet, limited availability of broadband connection.
