A long time ago Democrats and Leftists like Rosie Osamell heard Bush say that the war in Iraq was over on an aircraft carrier. Can some find that proof? Or will you just find that he indeed said something else. BTW, I voted for Bush but do not support all of his policies. If I hear a..." well I heard on NPR"... or something from a dumb liberal website I'll just laugh at you! Good luck!

Josh and Nicki...wrong. Republican and Moderate is what I am. To incinuate that I am knocking our leadership about the war is false. Actually I watched the speech on CNN. I don't watch Fox News or any news because of their slants on politics. P.S. My IQ is well over that of 91. You must have a low IQ for your attacks on my character, typical liberal behavior.

I'm asking a question of what other feel. I know he did not say the war is over. I have spoke to an officer in the army and a regular soldier that is my brother in law. The heard the speech and since they were both sent to Iraq twice after the speech holds truth that he did not say the war is over. Here is your CNN news with the unedited speech indicating he said "... major combat operations in Iraq have ended..". Read on... http://www.cnn.com/2003/US/05/01/bush.transcript/

He didn't. What he said was that major combat in Iraq had ended. But that was just after the fall of Bahgdad 4 years ago.
FYI, it was on May 1, 2003.

It was shown all over TV that is how we can prove it we watched it. He had a sign ordered and put on the Aircraft where you could see it while he made his speech. The signed stated 'Misson Accomplished " and stood there with his stupid speech and grin stating , "Mission Accomplished.".
He lied as usual and he said the people on the Aircraft made that sign and hung it , come to find out he ordered it taken to the War Carrier to put up while he stood their and lied to the country. So , no it wasn't some liberal dumb website, so that makes you a bad Conservative for not watching your lying stupid Fox News, they also carried the speech , okay Republican ,. now laugh you should be crying that you voted for a total liar and idiot. with 91 IQ can't read, write ,or ride a bike, we have the last laugh on you. The one that laughs first cries last.
We don't have to find that proof for you , who do you think you are, I know what you are but I don't want to get kicked off of answers, your the one that is a stupid conservative, just like your stupid President.

Actually, when he stood in front of the "Mission Accomplished" sign, the first words of his speech were "Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the Battle of Iraq the United States and our allies have prevailed. And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country."

If you want to spin that as him saying anything other than that the war was over, well ... that's just kind of pathetic. You are technically correct about the wording, but you know as well as everyone else what he was implying. To the extent that his comments can be read as anything other than a declaration that the war was over, it only demonstrates that he wanted to create wiggle room to continue to exercise his war powers throughout the occupation.
The fact that you are so incensed over this, and yet so poorly informed is also kind of pathetic.

he said "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" on the flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln a few months after the invasion. It was in all the papers and on TV where were you?
Oct 29,2003 Mr. Bush also sounded a triumphant note, describing the Iraqi operation as a "victory in a war on terror."
"In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed," he said. "And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country."

Is this the proof you seek or is CBS not a valid enough news source?
okay check out these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mission_Accomplished; http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/05/20030501-15.html or are wikipedia and the official whitehouse websites also invalid sources?

No, he said that major combat operations had ceased.
Then he blamed the Navy carrier crew for hanging up the "Mission Accomplished" banner.
Then he said that he wasn't interested in Bin Laden any more and doesn't care where he is.
He says a lot of stupid stuff. Nobody listens to him any longer.
Not even President Cheney.

They hung a banner behind him that said "Mission Accomplished" and took on an air of having finished the job already. If you are going to bash others for insinuating things, you have to hold Bush to the same standards.

Policies, well he's no where near perfect.
Our Congress... let's see what the vote 2day
brings.
Bringing down the Saddamn regime was one mission accomplished, yes. Atleast we got the dictator into
a court of law unlike what he did to his people.
Aircraft carriers? Now u lost me. No disrespect
intended. 9 in the Gulf to support upcoming talks
with Iran? Try watch the news on the Presidential

You have a typical case of chronic denial of reality, don't you?
Concerning your 'comments':
I suppose what is happening in Iraq now is 'minor combat operations'?
I have to update: You have 'major chronic denial of reality'.
