I have a friend from Bolivia that has been attending school here in the US for 6 years now.. she has become quite fond of the US and has applied for her Visa.. but her name didn't come up in the lottery.. now.. it's not that I don't have compassion for the people that are getting amnesty.. but shouldn't we be trying to keep people like this young lady who have earned so much in a legal way? She will most likely be forced to return home. Does that seem right?

IT'S AN OUTRAGE...

Tell her to get in contact with the United States Senators in the State where she is residing.

The U.S. isn't giving amnesty to Mexicans to help them, they are doing so because they can't control them. By allowing 20 Million Mexicans to arrive, the U.S. must force around that number to exit, to make room in the economy. It's truly unfair, but it's politics. Bush has been a coward from day 1, and this is just another way to prove it. He doesn't have the guts or ability to control his own borders, so he comes up with a solution to hide that fact.

It may not seem right, but that's how our system works. We unfortunately bring in a mix of good and bad, but it adds to diversity. She should feel privilaged though to have learned so much here, and hopefully she can used the knowledge she's gained to better her own community and have a wonderful life. It's the luck of the draw, and it's not always going to be fair.

Ya want to live here ya got to come through legal means. How can you be a good citizen if you break the law to become one?

No, since I assume she abides by the laws of America it's not ethical or morale to shoo away a possibly productive person.

Absolutely not. Those who go about doing it the LEGAL way should get priority over the illegals. This truly angers me!

Yes. She didn't get a visa. Now she needs to go home.

No, I don't think she deserves special favors.

But then, I also think we need to boot the illegals out, too.

We have a process, and ALL people should have to follow it.

The far left is going to say "let them all in" and soon our country will look and feel much like Israel - complete with suicide bombers.
