A friend of mine has a photograph of her late father holding her oldest daughter when she was a baby . Obviously, this photo means a lot to her . At one time, this photo was put in a frame behind a sheet of glass . Some condensation happened, causing the photo to be stuck to the sheet of glass . The sheet of glass got broken into four pieces . One of the pieces got lost . There are three pieces left and they're stuck to the photo . Can the pieces of glass somehow be removed without ruining the photograph ?

Dear Mike :
I guess that the truly important are the people on the picture and not precisely the picture itself.
If You agree to that, You may find several Photo-edit services through the web and even some at retailers sucha as wal*mart and even some proffesional photography studios offer this servies too, so You can get the photo scanned and digitalized and all the needed fixing will be perfomed on the PC, no need to remove No glass...

Good luck! ;-)

I would take it to a professional.

but if you would like, I have a program that i use to fix our old photos, and if you can get a decent scan of it amd email me with it I would be happy to work on it for you.

I know the original is much more important, but sometimes a nice copy will do in a jam.

is the memory stick, the same one that came out of your camera? if that is the case then you need to use a different system, like a flash drive. Putting pictures onto a memeory chip like a memory stick might work, but your camera will not recognize them. check to see if your pictures are 8 or 16 bit files too, 16 bit jpegs is not an option, you need to convert the 16 bit files to 8 bit. after that the jpeg option will show up when saving. If you have any smart objects, rasterize them.

Yes, I do Photorestoration and that not as bad at it seems. You can scan it through the glass, dont try to remove it. If you get a good scan I can touch it up for you.
