I don't waste my time worrying that they are calling me a communist. I'd rather be a communist than a fascist any day of the week.

To say that a democrat is socialist or communist is indeed stupid. I am a democrat, and very much a capitalist. I don't like tax laws rigged to the advantage of the very wealthy, I don't see the necessity of having assault weapons being legal, I would rather spend money on education and infrastructure than war, and I am a major advocate of the 1st amendment. Thus I am a democrat.

I usually only hear it from the extreme Right. To them, Democrats are so far Left, they should be Communists. They also confuse Communists with Socialist. The far Left Democrats would be closer to Socialist, but there are only a few of those.

How can anyone say that Democrats are not Socialists or Communists? They definitely believe in the redistribution of wealth and other socialistic values. They also believe in disarming law abiding citizens and taxing the living hell out of everybody. They believe in forcing their "values" down the throats of other people. That pretty much is Communism.

The Far Left have done a good job of taking over the Party. They have taught entitlements.
They only thing we are at best entitled to, is to use our talents to create wealth in the world. If the world considers our contribution to the wealth of the planet of value some of the wealth will return to our pocket. Anything more is simply looking at reality through a child's eyes. The world isn't fair, never was!

No, I don't agree the republicans are "stupid" for saying that many democrats are communist. Although there are some liberals that like the idea of communism there are also those who don't believe in it. No one can call an observation "stupid." Because there are liberals who like communism. In another view, there are liberals who possibly don't like the idea of communism but without knowledge they are enforcing communism and socialism unconsciously. Basically not all liberals are communist but some are.

I haven't heard any republican with a serious national following call democrats "communists." There are tiny extreme fringes in either party who spout nonsense about members of the other party (and even members of their own party they disagree with).

I wouldn't say stupid. Stupid is an unfortunate condition or state of mind.
I may say ill informed, they are completely oblivious to what the values of communism are and will therefore apply it to a situation where it does not apply.
