I feel that it isn't a pertinent discussion for politics. Maybe Religion and Spirituality, and you should take this question there.

Personally, I could care less. Politically, I think it is ridiculous the lengths some go to make something from nothing.

ADDED: So which elected position is James Dobson in again? I thought he was a nondenominational Christian psychologist who has a radio program and a ministry for Christians! Here you are operating under the assumption that Dr. Dobson is telling you what the president's adult daughter should do! Amazing.

I don't like Dick Cheney at all. I think he is one of the 3 biggest scum bags in the world. However, I don't want to pick on his grandchild. No matter what he is, there is an innocent baby involved and I wouldn't wish James Dobson on my worst enemy.

No one should be forced to give up their child unless there is proof that they are abusing him/her, or are a threat due to mental illness. Even in those cases, they should have supervised visitation rights.

Happy for her and her partner. Dobson is out of line to think that the whole world must conform to his religious beliefs.

I'm happy for them, and anyone who thinks forcing a mother to give up her child is actually what should be done, they are brainless twits... er... conservatives.
