When society becomes civilized by doing away with all criminals, then this would be a logical question. As of right now there is still evil in this world.

To the first question, absolutely not. Guns are what make a civilised society civilized. The most polite and civilized place you can spend time is at a gun range, and the more dangerous the city, the more polite and nice the range is. Both I and my husband have spent hours at the range populated by people from gangbangers to hunters to practical homeowners like ourselves and never felt afraid or threatened in any way. Shooters respect each other, because we know we are all dangerous individuals. Even the gangbanger with enough brains to learn how to actually use the tool of his trade deserves and gets a certain amount of respect. What's more, when you see that same gangbanger on the street later, you both nod politely and go your ways. He knows you're not prey.
To the second question, no again. Murder might not be as physically easy without guns but people would still be large carnivorous mammals with violent tendencies.

People have been killing themselves since the beginning of time. Guns have just made us more efficient at it... If guns were to be banned today, all hell would break out. And in the end, only those with power and guns would be left standing. And I don't think we want government control that way. And the same goes for it they never existed. We would just have six shooter cross bows and other garbage stuff like that. Yea guns make a difference, but it's really the people that make the difference.

I would love a world with no guns, but sadly the countries that have tried to outlaw them have had a rise in gun violence - take the UK for example, they used to have a very low murder rate by guns, now it is about the same as ours
would murders decline without guns? Sadly no. People would just find other ways to kill each other

No it would not stop people killing one another. But it would make it harder. It is not so difficult to point an automatic weapon at someone from a distance and shoot them.
However sticking a knife into someone else's flesh, whilst being up close and personal, would put all but the most determined killers off, I would hope.
