I only ask this because I was at tuesday's Sox Yankees game. I'm a Sox fan, and I wore my jersey. I can take the ribbing from Yankee fans, alot of them were good sports, but there were a few of them that resorted to personal attacks when the Sox were winning. Some even had tears in their eyes because of the trash talking they did before the game, and now having to eat their words. I just cheered louder when the Sox did well, so I ask, if you can't handle your team losing, why go to the game? There is a 50/50 chance of loss or win.

Yankees fans, like neocon Republicans, actually manage to be sore winners.

Winning isn't enough; they expect to be loved as well, regardless that everything they do makes them completely unlovable, except by others of the cult.

you cant personally attack yankees fans. you know the same thing woulda happened if a yankees fan went to boston and the sox were losing. thats fandom. its part of the game

when your team is winning you cheer

when your team is losing (especially to a huge rival) you dont say "good game"

NO

you bash that team because its part of being a fan. its the history of the rivalry

eveyone who goes to the ballpark wants to see their team win. and it hurts the most when an opposing team comes into your park and beats you. you get angry, you yell, you heckle and jeckle

its baseball kid

get used to it

I just enjoy the atmosphere of the ballpark, there's nothing like seeing a MLB game in person. Before I go I realize there's a chance that my team could lose, but as far as I know no teams have ever gone 162-0 in a season.

BTW Yankees fans are just a bunch of sore losers...they always have and always will be

I go to support the team win or lose. I know with that long schedule of 162 games you can't win them all, so I know there is always tomorrow and a win.

Why do people eat candies, cause it's delicious.
Why do people watch TV, cause it's "entertaining"
Why do people jump from cliffs, cause it's thrilling
Why do people gamble, cause it's fun.

Who cares about being able to take it or not. There's a good chance it'll be both fun and rewarding.

At least time will pass and most people who watch sports games don't have anything else important to do anyway.
