we are in the process of adopting our 2 grand daughter does any one know if there are cheaper air faires and?

how to get them there will be 5 of us flying from Illinoisto florida

Try checking travel sites like Expedia.com, orbitz.com or sidestep.com It helps if you book a couple weeks in advance.

Sorry to say but I doubt it. Call the airline and tell them your story, maybe they can cut you a deal. However the airlines did away with "children" rates decades ago. Kids pay full fair for a seat. After all if the airlines gave kid discounts, they would need to raise the rates for everyone else.
