ok for science project i have to draw a table with a voltagew and its corresponding current could some one help?For 2V 4V 6V 8V AND 10V, what would be the the corresponding current in Amps?if there is no definite awnser, could someone give an intelligent guess as i have no idea......?thanks!

There is no definite answer because you have to know the resistance of the circuit.

Current = Voltage / Resistance

So for your graph of current vs. voltage, all you have to do is plot a straight line through the origin with slope of 1/R.

My guess is that for your lab, they either tell you the resisitance and you plot predicted values or else you are expected to actually take a bunch of measurements, plot them, calculate the slope, and thereby calculate the resistance.

If you are supposed to take measurements, don't just choose a resistance and make up a table with intelligent guesses. On a lab project, that is considered cheating. It's easy to spot, and I've flunked university students for doing that.

What is expected from you through this experiment is your understanding of the relation between voltage, current and resistance. We know that V = I X R where I is the current in amperes and R is the resistance in Ohms. So since the resistance of a circuit is usually constant, V and I are proportional.

Let us take R = 1 Ohm and so we can write

V = I

So, we will have 2A, 4A, 6A, 8A and 10A for the corresponding voltage values.

It depends on the resistance of the material through which you're sending the current.
From Ohm's Law: V = IR
You can plug in all "one"s to this equation to say:
A potential of 1 Volt will generate a current of 1 Ampere through a wire with 1 Ohm resistance.

make a circuit with a battery, a rheostat(variable resistance to control the current), a resistor, a voltmeter parallel to it() to measure the P.D in voltsV across it and an Ammeter in series with the resistor to measure the current Cin the circuit and the resistor. read the currenet in the restor from ammeterand PD across it frm the voltmeterV. Adjust the resistance on the rheostat and again measureC&V.
repeat the process and note the values of C&V and make your desired table.

v=voltage
i=current
r=resistance
the above givn values are for resistance= 2
