My son has recently been released from prison, and I feel he might not be following all the guidelines and laws given to him when he was released.

Each state has different guidelines.

Sex offenders must register every year and inform authorities of new address (or homelessness) immediately.

Some sex offenders are not allowed near schools, parks, day care centers or other places that children congregate.

It depends on the terms of his relaease, everyone will have different rules, and not all are required to register with the Sex Offender registry, in depends on the crime, and the state guidelines.

Is he on probation or parole? Does he have a probation or parole officer? They are required to give him a copy of his restrictions.

Everyone will have different rules to follow, and will depend on their officer and what the court said at time of sentencing. Generally, no contact with minors, no drugs, no alcohol, and sometimes even a curfew, and often restrictions on where they work, though they usually must obtain gainful employment.
