my mom took over $1,000 from me to move into another bank thats supposedly for me, which i highly doubt, (if u knew my mom .. u'd know what i was talking about) with out asking my permission bcuz she thought i wouldn't understand it
i was just wondering if that was illegal ... even a little bit
cuz i really think if i can just get the law involved .. it'll get her to stop doing this
n since im 19 n legally an adult ... shouldn't i have have control over my own money?
she found out my password on my bank account n moved the money over to that other bank
im waitting for her to supposedly transfer money back into my regular account so i can pay off my credit card bill ... b4 i can change my password on her ....

it depends on the bank account.. the account could be set up in your name but technically still part of your mom's account.. if that's the case, then it's simply a matter of transferring money from one part of her own account to another.. if you had your own 100% seperate account though, that's a different issue and she should not legally be allowed to transfer money out of someone else's account..

Was the bank account she transfered the money from in your name only? Was it an account your parents set up for you when you were a child? If it was set up for you when you were a child then their names are still on the account.
Go to the bank where the account was located. Ask to see the records. Tell the bank manager what happened. Go to the new bank and tell them what happened.
Now, here's a question for you. Have you had responsibility issues with your spending habits? You say you have a credit card bill to pay off. That speaks volumns. Maybe the money was moved to protect you from yourself.

Assuming you live in the United States, you have rights and obligations as a father, among them is visitation and child support. Laws vary by state. "i'm her grandma i can take her wherever i want" - this is absolutely not true. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, do not have any legal rights or obligations to the child unless you have specifically granted them legal guardianship through a court. First: Hire a Lawyer - look for "family law" law firms in your area. Police/911 is for emergencies, they are right when they say they can't do much. Second: Get a paternity test if you have not already. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!! You can get a at-home one you mail in for cheap - it will not hold up in court, but at least you will know. If you don't have money for the lawyer, sell everything you own, get a second job, work overtime, take out a loan, borrow from friends and family. You are responsible for this child for the next 18 years.

if she's on your account then no its not llegal. If this is the case & since you are now 19 close this acct & open one in your name only or get another relative (maybe a grandparent) as a second signer. You may never get back what she took so now its whether or not you want to sever ties for $1000, think long & hard because some hurts can never be repaired.

If her name is not on the bank account, then that's stealing and it's illegal. Contact your bank.

That is very illegal, and should be stopped. To find someones password, and use it to take money, is stealing, no law would say otherwise to my knowledge.
