number 2. as a pitcher for a semi-pro team the worst feeling is to leave with a lead and when it starts to diminish, you being powerless to stop it. you go out there and work your *** off just to hav the game taken away from you
and at the pro level it sucks even more, because the next time that pitcher goes out he doesnt wanna leave it up to the bullpen, so he tries to go the whole game and tries to overthrow, and that screws him over bcuz odds are he will not throw as well

2. The starting pitcher tosses a gem for 72/3 innings with none left on base when he leaves, up 4-0 only to have the relief staff come in and give up 5 runs. Happens all the time now because a pitcher can't posibly do beyond his "pitch count".

Id have to say that one pisses me off the most. And it certainly happens a lot. Love to watch Kyle Farnsworth pitch cuz he's smokin hot, but the guy can't command the ball to save his life. I think he gets by on luck half the time.

Scenarios 1, 3 and 4 only involve one inning. Situation #2 however, deals with a starting pitcher going almost 8 innings, and to have that effort wasted by the bullpen is the most disheartening. I see it happen time and time again with my favorite team.

I would have to go with #4 however even worse than that....you are watching a playoff game. It is late at night and you have been watching for 3 hours....and you drift of to sleep as the game goes into Extra innings. You wake up to a late night infomercial and have to wake up and find the score before you can fall asleep....pissed off because you missed big Papi hitting a game ending HR.

These scenarios sounds like the Cincinnati Reds. I would definitely say number 1. Usually the 3,4 and 5 hitters are your big time playmakers on your team. They should be able to do something.
P.S. I am a Reds fan

All this bad luck listed above seems to be happening to the Yankees now. I think they'll get out of this slump because they just took 2 games out of 3 against the Red Sox. They just have to keep going.
