YES SOME DO!!! I have family that can't go to public venues because they have such bad reactions to perfumes & people abuse it. You should be able to receive a ticket for abuse! I have no problem telling someone I'm sorry but your perfume is too strong for me.
IT MIGHT BE THE BOTTLES!! I have friends & coworkers who enjoy perfumes. Some of the bottles squirt way too much out. I have seen it. One spray can be lethal to the senses.
IT MIGHT BE A COVERUP!! Some older women will use it as a security blanket. They have incontinence or a medical bag & they are trying to cover the more offensive odors.
Either way - if it's too much just be honest or they might think your funny faces are because of something else & take it the wrong way.

I agree so much with this but its not just middle aged women either. Its young men, young women who are also guilty.I have asthma and sometimes I have just about choked to death literally . I mean a full blown asthma attack from cheap perfume. Its no fun going to hospital because somebody got stupid and dumped on some stink. Please just a little hint is enough. Think of others. You don't have to drench your selves or bath in it.Then it becomes cheap smelling no matter what the fragrance.

They have NEVER learned the fine art of conserving! And the fact that there is a lot of it that smells like crap.. WHY do they always wear the "Dustball and moth" smell from the closet? Or you see them in the perfume isle and want to just run before the bomb of scent explodes... lol..

I think it's because they can't smell the perfume after they wear it awhile - it absorbs into the nasal passages. That is why you can't smell your deodorant, tooth paste, etc after you put it on. Some women keep putting it on because they think it has worn off. (Not me.... I don't like perfume for the same reason you just voiced. It overwhelms people.)

I think some people of all ages put enough on until they can smell themselves, which is way too much. It's really bad when you're on a long elevator ride!

maximum center-elderly French women genuinely everyone seems to be very stylish and classy, and actually take stable care of themselves, and are ok became out in staggering dresses, shoes, flattering hairstyles and makeup, and fragrance. yet i would not subject too lots approximately status out while sightseeing - opportunities are high you would be surrounded via travelers besides. in spite of everything, why faux to be something you're no longer? as quickly as you open your mouth you would be outed as a vacationer besides, so why no longer purely renounce your self to this? then you may savor France on your person mushy clothing and shoes.

Women aren't the only ones that do that. I've been assaulted by too much men's cologne a time or two. Maybe they've just lost their sense of smell from wearing too much perfume that they just don't realize how much they've put on. Or maybe they bathe in it. I dunno.
